We Brewed, We Baked, We Basked

On Wednesday, October 26th we celebrated our Inaugural Witch’s BrewFest and it was a scary success.

Education

We heard the latest on ghost kitchens and electrification from Scott Heim of Middleby Ventless Solutions and EVO America. His take aways:

Ghost kitchens aren’t going anywhere and the changing electric requirements will speed up the process, so get on board or be left in the competitions’ dust.

Education
Pecinka Ferri’s Steve Ward taught us how to brew beer as we snacked on everything and everything from Chef Nick and Chef Frank: pretzels, sausages, sauerbraten, latkes, croissant, cookies, tiramisu, pumpkin mousse. Washing everything down with PF’s own house made Kolsch Beer and Pear Cider.
Caffeination

Caffeination

In the afternoon we had a pick me up with Café Dube’s latte art competition with Jecinta Wilson of Middleby Coffee Solutions pulled with Caffe Vita beans. We tweaked our personal brands with Chelsea Stuck of Craeve & Co. Then we closed out the day with a coffee panel discussion hearing from David M Mendez of WB Law Coffee, Dave Kozuha of Greenwood Lake Roasters Craft Coffee, Jim Gillesheimer of Action Coffee and Kevin Lane of Caffe Vita.

NOT Inebriation

We were caffeinated, educated and NOT inebriated so we made our way to Cricket Hill Brewery for a Halloween After Party.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event was one for the books, we couldn’t have done it without you!

Be sure not to miss our next one, because it’s once in a lifetime. Pecinka Ferri will be celebrating our 50th anniversary on Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 – mark your calendars now.
